Dr. Ceri Williams, Head of Knowledge Transfer, Yorkshire Universities

Dr Ceri Williams has worked on both sides of the Knowledge Transfer interface and for the past five years led the Science and Innovation agenda for Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency for Yorkshire and the Humber. She is currently employed as Director Knowledge Transfer for Yorkshire Universities where she aims to help regional HEIs deliver more effective knowledge transfer practice and also better align regional research activities with national funding priorities. She has a personal interest in understanding and evaluating knowledge transfer practice and the metrics that can be used to assess effective KT.

Adrian Rowland, R & D Programme, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI)

Adrian Rowland works to promote the UK’s R&D excellence to large corporate inward investors as part of UK Trade & Investment’s R&D Programme. Adrian has over 25 years’ international experience in areas of product development, product marketing, knowledge transfer and corporate strategy for leading companies in information systems and opto-electronics. He has also worked on Government programs to promote knowledge transfer.

George Derbyshire, Chief Executive, National Federation of Enterprise Agencies (NFEA)

George Derbyshire is Chief Executive of NFEA which represents over 130 enterprise agencies and business support organisations across England. They provide advice and training principally to the start-up community together with a range of other services such as micro-finance and incubation. He joined NFEA after a career in corporate banking.
